Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Bumpt, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. These terms apply to all users, including event attendees (guests) and event organizers (admins).

2. Service Description

Bumpt is a gamified event networking platform. Attendees scan QR codes to log encounters, receive AI-generated chemistry insights, complete quests, collect achievements, and climb leaderboards. Organizers create and manage events, configure gamification features, and access engagement analytics.

3. Accounts

• You sign in using Google SSO. We do not support other authentication methods.
• One account per person. Do not create multiple accounts.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Event Participation

• You join events using invite codes provided by the event organizer.
• Some events restrict access to specific email domains (e.g., company-only events).
• Once an event ends, it becomes read-only. You can view your data but cannot create new encounters, submit feedback, or modify content.
• Event organizers can remove you from an event, which permanently deletes all your event-scoped data.

5. User Content

• You retain ownership of content you create (profile info, selfies, feedback responses).
• By using Bumpt, you grant us a license to display your content within the platform to other event participants and organizers.
• AI-generated content (chemistry scores, conversation prompts, compatibility insights) is owned by Bumpt.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
• Impersonate another person or create fake profiles
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the platform
• Attempt to de-anonymize anonymous Q&A submissions
• Use the platform for any illegal purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Share invite codes publicly without the organizer's permission

7. AI Features

• Chemistry scores, compatibility insights, and conversation prompts are generated by AI for entertainment and networking purposes only. They are not scientific assessments.
• AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. Use your own judgment.
• When you scan someone's QR code, both profiles are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Organizer Responsibilities

If you are an event organizer, you agree to:

• Inform attendees that the event uses Bumpt and how their data will be used
• Use attendee data only for legitimate event purposes
• Respect attendees' email visibility preference — when exporting data, attendee emails are hidden unless the attendee has opted in
• Not misuse admin access to harass, stalk, or discriminate against attendees

9. Push Notifications

Push notifications are opt-in. You can enable or disable them at any time through your browser or device settings. We use notifications for event reminders, schedule updates, and encounter nudges.

10. Share Links

• Memory artifact share links expire after 7 days.
• Anyone with the link can view the shared content during that period.
• You are responsible for who you share your links with.

11. Service Availability

We do our best to keep Bumpt running smoothly, but we don't offer a formal SLA. The service may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.

12. Disclaimers

Bumpt is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that AI-generated scores, insights, or content will be accurate, useful, or appropriate.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bumpt's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the service is limited to USD $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of Bumpt after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
